adult therapy

Talking therapy provides space to look at your problems, feelings and behaviors in a different way. When we work together, you'll have room to explore what your needs are, how to meet them, and develop skills to carry you through the ups and downs of life.
Picture
  • Do you want to learn more about yourself and how you tick?
  • Are you struggling to adjust to a recent relocation, job or school?
  • Do you want to manage frequent conflict with others?
  • Do you struggle to assert yourself and want this to change?
  • Is your overconfidence setting you back and you don't know why?
  • Have you experienced loss?
  • Do you feel lonely, sad and stressed?
  • Are you afraid much of the time but can't identify the cause?
  • Does your anger get in your way?
  • Have you hit a stumbling block in life?

what we will do

When we sit down together, we'll explore what is on your mind. We'll examine your thoughts and feelings, and identify aspects of your past that may be influencing your present. We'll explore how cultural and societal factors influence your situation. And we'll identify your values, wants and needs so you can make them play a more prominent role in your life.

the change you will see

Although talking therapy cannot change a life situation or make a problem go away, it will help you develop the tools to manage them with flexibility, self-compassion and clarity. In our work together, we can improve your relationships with others as you learn to both listen and be heard. We can enhance your work and school performance by learning how to manage overwhelming emotions that get in the way of success. We can develop more realistic expectations of yourself and others. And we can build skills to reduce feelings of depression, anxiety and anger so you can grow to become the person you want to be.
